Why won't my battery take a charge with a normal jump starter?

These are not lead-acid batteries. The integrated BMS detects low voltage and purposefully opens an internal relay switch to prevent thermal runaway. The external battery terminals are physically disconnected from the internal cells.

Is it safe to repair and reset these lithium batteries?

Yes. We only reset the software lock and gently balance the cells if the physical chemistry dictates it is safe to do so. If we detect swollen cells or internal shorts, we will declare the battery irrecoverable for your safety.

How long does a deep discharge recovery take?

The process takes 1 to 3 days. It requires disassembling the case, resetting the EEPROM chip, and subjecting the cells to a very slow, controlled trickle charge to re-stabilize the lithium chemistry.
